The Clubhouse kitchen needed updating, the decision was made to replace all the kitchen units and install a new cooker and make the serving areas larger.
Whilst the kitchen units were being changed, we also decided to replace the sagging floor and a much-needed upgrade to the electrics.
New larger windows installed to improve ventilation were also added.
The work started with all the old kitchen units being removed, and a new frame constructed for the floor. One of our club sponsors, Hamilton Construction, is undertaking the work with the help of our wonderful club volunteers.
The new facilities will enable the club to offer a larger variety of meals and cater for larger groups.
We have also installed a TV, and an Internet connection, allowing the clubhouse to be enjoyed by the members for various sporting events.
Last year we fitted our new carpet, and this year we have upgraded the kitchen facilities.
Thanks to our late Chairman Geoff Dowson and our treasurer Marc Spindlove, the club has been run efficiently, enabling us to keep improving the facilities for all to enjoy.
We look forward to welcoming our members and friends from other clubs to enjoy the new facilities at Bonalba Bowls Club.
