Eight teams from bowling clubs in the Costa Blanca North competed in the Winter Triples Open competition beginning on November 25th. The competition lasted for seven Saturdays and ended on February 3rd, 2024. The race was extremely close, with Calpe Rocks holding the top spot for three weeks and other teams such as Santos, InCiders, and Mavericks having to step up their game to stay in the race.
With the top three teams all tied at 15 points on week 6, the final day was crucial.
The games were played under blue skies and cheered on by a gallery of supporters. But it was Santos from Bonalba BC who came out on top with a two-point lead after winning their final two games, followed by InCiders (El Cid) in second place and Mavericks (BBC) in third.
Bonalba’s second team Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves finished second from bottom.
