THE BOWLING COMMUNITY IN THE VALENCIAN REGION
Bonalba Bowls Club is a member of the Levante Lawn Bowls Association (LLB). Regular bowling tournaments are arranged between all the clubs, and bowlers as well as spectators will visit nearly all clubs throughout the year, with an average of about 1100 participants.
The club is open to all, including Spanish nationals. Regular tournaments involve around 1100 participants from various clubs. Water Leak Services sponsors LLB and receives strong support from the bowling community.
Bonalba Bowls Club is one of the few clubs in Spain with a strong online presence, providing regular updates and a good following on Facebook.
Every June, the picturesque setting of Bonalba Bowls sets the stage for the most prestigious Lawn Bowls competition on the Costa Blanca.
The Geoff Dowson Open Mixed Triples event, a tribute to our late president Geoff Dowson, brings together 96 skilled bowlers for an exhilarating display of talent and sportsmanship, and in November the Bonalba Open Mixed Hong Kong pairs event takes place, with 64 players competing.
The competition reached full capacity in under 3 hours, unprecedented in Spanish lawn bowls competitions.
